We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to assist with general labour tasks related to antique work and home organization. This role involves helping organize a basement workspace, handling antiques, and supporting day-to-day tasks, including preparing items for sale online.
Key Responsibilities:
Sorting and organizing antiques and related items
Assisting with cleaning and general upkeep of the workspace
Taking clear, high-quality photos of items
Creating and posting listings on Facebook Marketplace
Writing basic item descriptions and responding to simple inquiries (if required)
Lifting and moving items when required
Completing various odd jobs to support ongoing antique work
Important Considerations:
The homeowner has experienced a stroke, so it is essential that the candidate is:
Patient and understanding
Able to follow clear, specific instructions
Comfortable working at a steady, thoughtful pace
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Punctual and reliable, with the ability to consistently show up on time
Able to commute independently (no vehicle required, but must be able to arrive without assistance)
Physically capable of light to moderate lifting
Basic familiarity with Facebook Marketplace or willingness to learn
Organized and dependable
Comfortable working independently while taking direction
Additional Details:
Lunch breaks are unpaid
This is a temporary role that will pause during the summer and likely resume in the fall (September)
